Program of the Trans-Siberian Irkutsk - Vladivostok
DAY 1 - Arrival in Irkutsk early in the morning. Transfer to the hotel of your choice. Early check in, breakfast, free time to take rest till 12:00. Meet the guide and departure for lake Baikal. Our first stop on route to the lake is in front of famous Shaman Rock. After we enjoy our fish lunch, we visit very interesting Museum of Lake Baikal. This museum has an aquarium complex with living inhabitants-endemics of the Baikal lake, as well as exhibitions about the flora and fauna. They also organize video excursions to the bottom of the lake. After that, we drive to the end of the village and walk along the shore to take some wonderful photos of the lake. On our way back to the center of the village, we check out the Fish Market. Smoked omul – Baikal endemic tasty fish – is highly recommended to try. We make our way up to the observation point, known as a Stone of CHERSKY for a breathtaking panorama of lake Baikal and Angara river mouth. Dinner and overnight at Baikal. /B, L, D/
DAY 3,4 - Traveling from Irkutsk to Khabarovsk along the Chinese border
DAY 5 - At 15:53 arrival to Khabarovsk. Transfer to the hotel and overnight.
DAY 6 – Breakfast. 10:00 – 14:00 Khabarovsk city tour. During the city tour of Khabarovsk, you will see the Muraviev-Amurskiy street (the main city’s street), Lenin square, Komsomolskaya Square with the Cathedral and Regional Park, the observation point Amur Cliff, and you will have a choice of visiting the famous Khabarovsk Regional Museum, or taking an hour cruise along Amur river. 10:45 arrival in Kazan. Meet the guide at the station and enjoy Old Kazan tour, before the check-in is possible at 14:00 (3-hrs tour to the historical center of Kazan visiting – Kazan Kremlin, St. Peters and Paul Cathedral, Exaltation of the Cross Church and the miraculous Kazan Icon of the Mother of God. Visiting Old and New Tatar Sloboda, Mardjani’s mosque, Kaban Lake, National Cultural Center, Kremlin street. You will pass by the traditional Tatar Village “Tugan Avilim”, Park of 1000th anniversary of the city). Check-in to the hotel and free time for exploring Kazan. DAY 8 - Listvyanka, Baikal Lake
In the morning, arrival to Irkutsk and transfer to Listvyanka, a small coastal town on Lake Baikal. Accommodation in a lake-front hotel where you will have time to settle in before the start of the visit program. Lake Baikal is the largest freshwater lake in the world, containing roughly 20% of the world’s unfrozen surface fresh water. It is considered among the world's clearest lakes and is considered the world's oldest lake — at 25 million years. We will visit the Baikal Limnologic Museum and the Aquarium “Baikal Seal”, where we will see rare seal species indigenous to Baikal. Lunch in a local restaurant with Baikal fish dishes. After lunch, we will perform a walking tour to Listvyanka and visit the wooden Church of St. Nicholas, on the mouth of the River Angara, then we will enjoy some free time in the local fish market to gather local food and products and hunt for unique Baikal souvenirs.
DAY 9 - Irkutsk
Breakfast at the hotel, morning visit to the Taltsy Ethnographic Museum, a wonderful open-air architecture museum that hosts some of the most impressive wooden constructions of all Russia, including various village churches, farms, estates and traditional Siberian wooden houses, moved from the nearby valleys to be spared from the floods originated from the construction of various hydroelectric power plants. We will return to Irkutsk for lunch, afterwards we will take part in a sightseeing tour including all of the city’s main attractions: visit to the historical centre, the Eternal Flame memorializing the heroes of the Great Patriotic War, the Znamensky Monastery and the Polsky Cathedral. The Irkutsk city centre is no doubt one of the most beautiful between the various cities of Siberia: the mix of brick and wooden houses of astounding variety in shapes and styles gives to the city centre a fascinating and timeless atmosphere. DAY 10 - Transmongolica/ Ulaanbaatar

DAY 11 - Ulaanbaatar and Gorkhi-Terelj National Park with overnight stay in a “yurt” tent
Morning arrival in Ulaanbaatar, breakfast and transfer to the Gorkhi-Terelj National Park, where we will have time to settle in the “yurt” camp and explore the surroundings before the ascension to the Turtle Rock panoramic point. Trekking in the national park to Turtle Rock, on the way back we will pay a visit to a nomad family. The Gorkhi-Terelj National Park was first established in 1993 to protect various indigenous animal and vegetal species threatened from the human activities in the Hentij Mountains area. The park limits enclose some of the most beautiful nature in Mongolia, including various astounding rock formations. Lunch, dinner and overnight stay at the yurt camp.
DAY 12 - Ulaanbaatar
Breakfast at the yurt camp, afterwards we will take part in a guided visit to the Chingis Khan monument. Lunch and transfer to Ulaanbaatar. City sightseeing tour of Ulaanbaatar. Dinner and overnight stay in a central hotel.
DAY 13 - From Ulaanbaatar to Beijing across the Gobi Desert
Breakfast in the hotel, transfer to the train station and morning departure to Beijing.
DAY 14 - Beijing
Arrive in Beijing railway station. Meet and greet in the railway station. Then directly transfer to visit Tiananmen Square, the largest urban square in the world, where you may photo stop in front of Great Hall of the People & Museum of Chinese History (no entrances). Visit Temple of Heaven, where the emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties worshipped heaven and prayed for good harvest. And then move on to visit Qianmen Area. Transfer to the hotel and check-in.
DAY 15 - The Great Wall of China
Breakfast in the hotel. Today we will take part in a full-day excursion to the Great Wall of China. Lunch included. In the morning, meet in the hotel and directly transfer to visit Great Wall, one of the “Seven Wonders of the World” and a symbol of Chinese civilization. In the afternoon, visit the enchanting Summer Palace, one of China’s largest and best-preserved royal gardens. Lunch is at local restaurant.
DAY 16 – Departure from Beijing
